About Pantry Math
Pantry Math is the anti-recipe-blog. No life stories. No 2,000-word preambles. No pop-ups. Just instant, accurate cooking conversions.
Why we built this
Every day, millions of people search for simple cooking conversions — “how many grams in a cup of flour?” — and end up scrolling through endless paragraphs of SEO filler before finding the answer.
We built Pantry Math to answer those questions instantly. The answer is always above the fold. The calculator always works. The tables are always clean.
How our data works
All conversion values are based on widely cited references including King Arthur Baking, the USDA FoodData Central, and standard measurement conventions. Measurements assume the US cup (236.588 ml) and the spooned-and-levelled method unless otherwise noted.
Conversions are approximate. Ingredient density can vary based on brand, humidity, how the ingredient is packed, and other factors. For precision baking, we always recommend using a digital kitchen scale.
